The ANU College of Law is a diverse and inclusive global community of staff, students, alumni and community partners. Though our global network, the ANU College of Law delivers a world class academic program that provides graduates with the skills to influence and make a positive impact in the world; both locally in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, and around the world.
Alumni from the ANU College of Law work in 98 countries. Through this community, the College provides annual international internships in London, Washington DC and The Hague. Students can also choose to complete part of their degree in Geneva, Alabama, Kyoto and Oxford.

Projects
In 2019, ANU Law scholars Dr Jeremy Farrall, Dr Jo Ford, Dr Imogen Saunders and Dr Phillip Drew collaborated with University of Indiana Bloomington and University of Maryland researchers on their research project, Navigating the Backlash against Global Norms and Institutions
Programs
ANU Law in conjunction with the World Bank Group's Integrity Vice Presidency (INT), offers a scholarship program to spend six months undertaking an internship with the INT's Special Litigation Unit. Hear from one of our scholarship recipients here.
ANU Law also partners with the University of Alabama Law School to provide a Summer Program in Comparative Law. Ten LLB (Hons) and/or Juris Doctor law students are given the opportunity to travel to Alabama for a five-week program. Centre for Space Situational Awareness Research
In association with the ANU Institute for Space, Dr Cassandra Steer is part of the Centre for Space Situational Awareness Research (CeSSAR) established in collaboration with the University of Texas Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. CeSSAR is helping to improve telescope-tracking technologies and data analysis software to track objects orbiting the Earth. CeSSAR will also facilitate the development of a new law and policy portal, providing greater awareness of space activities and compliance with international norms.

As Australia’s national university, ANU is well located in the nation’s capital, Canberra. Our capital city location links us with the nation’s key law-making and legislative bodies. You may not know, we also run a variety of programs around Australia to engage with and support out Indigenous community.
ANU Law’s Law Reform and Social Justice Program operates a pro bono support service for the Kimberley Community Legal Service (KCLS). In 2018, ANU Law students volunteered 11,227 hours of their time to provide legal support via the ANU Law KCLS Hot Desk. Check out our students in action here.

In 2003, ANU Law along with law faculties of University of Sydney and UNSW announced the establishment of the new Australian Network for Japanese Law (ANJeL). The aim of ANJeL is to promote scholarly engagement with Japanese law in Australia and support Japanese legal professionals' engagement with Australian law.
MYANMAR

The ANU Myanmar Law Clinic involves students partnering with Bridges Across Borders Southeast Asia Clinical Legal Education (BABSEACLE) to teach Myanmar law students and teachers in English. The clinic runs every year, and places ANU Law students in an immersive experience, with a dual purpose of allowing ANU CoL students to deepen their understanding of Australia's legal system in Australian liberal democracy through comparison with Myanmar, and supporting Myanmar university efforts to promote liberal democratic values among Myanmar law students.
