DECRA success for Dr Ogg in landmark movement litigation study

Interdisciplinary scholar Associate Professor Kate Ogg receives $426,000 for research into movement litigation from an Australian perspective.

Associate Professor Kate Ogg has been awarded Federal Government funding through the Australian Research Council’s (ARC) Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) scheme, which aims to advance the career of promising researchers by providing funds over a three-year period.

Dr Ogg’s monograph presents masterful study of litigation in refugees' journeys

The places in which refugees seek sanctuary are often as dangerous and bleak as the conditions they fled. In response, many continue to travel within and across borders in search of safety. As part of these journeys, refugees are increasingly turning to courts to ask for protection, not from persecution in their homeland, but from a place of 'refuge'.

LGBTQIA+ issues in the spotlight for second ANU Gender Identity + Sexuality Moot

Law students from across Australia and New Zealand are preparing to compete in The Australian National University (ANU) Gender Identity + Sexuality Law Moot, which runs 27 September to 12 October 2021. 

The Honourable Justices Michael Kirby AC CMG (Hon LLD '14) and Melissa Perry have been named judges for the moot’s final for a second year running.
