Heidi is a solicitor and leading advocate for family violence law reform in the ACT. She has also advocated for the development and funding of free legal services across Australia (particularly for survivors of family violence) and is known as a trailblazer in gender-related law reform. 

  • ACT Law Society's Young Lawyer of the Year (2008) and a 'Young Australian of the Year' Finalist (2011). 
  • Previous roles include Executive Director of the ACT Women's Legal Centre and Head of General Practice at Legal Aid ACT.
  • Member of the ACT Law Reform Advisory Council and Inaugural Chair of the ACT LGBTIQ Ministerial Advisory Council. 
  • Heidi currently convenes the Community Law Clinical Program at the ANU College of Law.
