Why did you choose ANU, and why did you choose to study law?
After completing Year 12 I had no idea what I wanted to do at university or as a career. I chose law because it affects all people and all industries. A law degree is flexible and a good pairing for any other degree and any career choice. Being the student-friendly city it is, Canberra made it easy for me to adapt and feel at home quickly. Most people, especially living around the city area, are students. I bump into friends and classmates all the time, so you never really feel lonely.
What is the highlight of ANU Law for you?
I’ve learnt so many fascinating and useful things in my law degree so far, but my most memorable study experience would have to be studying with my friends. Around second year, my friends and I formed a study group which has continued to grow throughout the years. Something I’ve learnt through doing all my law courses is that we don’t know whether we will like something until we try it. This being said, I firmly believe that even if I don’t end up practising the law, my ANU law degree will be useful in whatever career I choose, as well as in my daily life.
