Academic integrity means acting with honesty, fairness, trust, respect, and responsibility in your academic work. It applies to everything you do as a student, including research, writing, exams, and collaboration.
The approach of ANU to academic integrity is governed by the Academic Integrity Rule 2021, and the Policy: Student Academic Integrity and Procedure: Student Academic Integrity. All students are required to be familiar with these documents.
The Academic Integrity Rule 2021 is a legal document that the University uses to promote and manage breaches of academic integrity and academic misconduct. The Policy and Procedure support the Rule by outlining overarching principles, responsibilities and processes.
The University commits to assisting all students to understand how to engage in academic work in ways that are consistent with and actively support academic integrity. All coursework students must complete the online Academic Integrity Module and Higher Degree Research (HDR) students are required to complete the Research Integrity Training.
