Event description
Susan Maslen is Senior Counsel in the World Bank's Legal Vice Presidency. She works on issues related to international economic and financial law, including sovereign debt, public debt transparency, and digital money. Susan creates the Bank’s financial products for poor and middle-income countries. She has represented the World Bank Group at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and other stakeholder forums. Susan is currently on secondment at the Legal Department of the International Monetary Fund. Prior to joining the World Bank, she was a structured finance lawyer in London and Sydney, and a transaction execution lead doing securitisations at an investment bank. Susan holds a Master of Laws in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies) from Griffith University.
