Event description

Join Women in Law ANU (WILA), a student-run body which aims to equip and embolden female-identifying law students at the ANU, in our launch event!

In this panel discussion, we will hear from some of our alumni and prominent women in law and ask what their experience has been like in the legal sector. They will also share experiences of both challenges and opportunities that they have faced and provide advice for young women endeavouring to work in law in the future. There will be an opportunity for Q&A, and to find out more about joining WILA.

On the panel:
• Justice Rachel Pepper (moderator), NSW Land and Environment Court
• Elizabeth Lee, Leader of the opposition in the ACT, representing the electorate of Kurrajong
• Libby Carroll, Chief Legal Counsel at IP Australia and President of the ACT Law Society
• Melanie Pool, Founder of See Your Change and public policy and strategy expert
