Padma Raman is the Executive Director of the Australian Human Rights Commission. She was previously the CEO of the Victorian Law Reform Commission for nearly a decade. During this time she oversaw major law reform projects on many important areas of social policy reform including: family violence; sexual assault; defences to homicide; access to reproductive technology; privacy; and property.
- Awarded a Public Service Medal (2018) for outstanding public service in leading significant cultural, technological and governance change at the Australian Human Rights Commission.
- Former member of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission for five years.
