Mount Fuji Japan
The University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics Winter School on Japanese Law

The University of Tokyo, Graduate Schools for Law and Politics is pleased to announce the launch of their one-week seminar on Japanese law (the UTokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics Winter School) in February 2025. The UTokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics Winter School offers a distinctive opportunity to delve deeply into Japanese law. All courses are taught in English.

Rather than just having lectures on Japanese law in the textbooks, each session will pick up contemporary legal issues in Japanese society (and the world) and aims to have an exchange of views among participants.

While primarily targeting international students intrigued by Japan but not yet proficient in the Japanese language, The University of Tokyo, Graduate Schools for Law and Politics anticipates that Japanese students keen on international exchange will also find it enriching.

The Theme for 2025 is Perspectives on Japanese Law in a Changing Global Context.
