Event description

The last 6 months have seen an unprecedented mass movement demanding an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, an end to decades of colonisation, and a free Palestine that delivers a sustainable peace for all in the region.

On 14 May (the day before the commemoration of the Nakba), the Law Reform and Social Justice program and ANU Students for Palestine are hosting a student discussion forum with activist, scholar and environmentalist Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh from the University of Bethlehem.

This is an opportunity to meet Mazin in an informal forum to discuss social and environmental justice research and campaigning in Australia and Palestine - and the crucial role of students in forging a path towards sustainability and peace.

Please note:This event will be a space free of racism, including zero tolerance for anti-Palestinian, islamophobic and anti-semitic communication and behaviour.
