ANU Medical Centre

Available to all ANU students and staff.

The ANU Medical Centre operates a state-of-the-art health and wellness clinic on levels 2 and 3 of Health and Wellbeing Centre (Building 156) in Kambri and provides students with access to a comprehensive range of health services.

Available to all ANU students studying in Australia.

For students studying overseas, please contact counselling.centre@anu.edu.au for alternative options.

Appointments are available via Zoom, or face-to-face. Next-day appointments are available for students in urgent need and priority is given to new client.

The ANU Counselling Centre promotes, supports and enhances mental health and wellbeing within the University student community. The Centre is a free, confidential and non-diagnostic service available to all currently enrolled ANU students.

ANU Wellbeing and Support Line

Available to all ANU students – 24h

The ANU Wellbeing and Support Line is a phone service for all current students who are experiencing situational stress, emotional difficulties and mental health concerns. The service can also be used to provide debriefing support and assistance for student leaders. The ANU Wellbeing and Support Line works with ANU Counselling but is operational 24 hours a day.

ANU Student Safety and Wellbeing Team

To connect with a Case Manager in the Student Safety and Wellbeing team, email, call or visit us in-person. Alternativerly, you can fill-out the sexual harrassement and sexual response and support form and the team will contact you within 72h.

Available to all ANU students

The Student Safety and Wellbeing team offers free and confidential support for students who have been impacted by an incident that impacted on their student experience while at ANU. Case Managers have backgrounds in health, social work, counselling and human services and provide information to students and coordinate support and help. Incidents can include:

  • sexual assault or sexual harassment (directly or indirectly)
  • Mental health  
  • Financial concerns  
  • Relationship issues  
  • Conflict management   
  • Transitioning into university  
  • Isolation and loneliness  
  • Navigating ANU

Beyond Blue - Coronavirus Mental Wellbeing Support Service

FREE 24 hours helpline where you can chat to a trained counselor about any troubles you are facing due to the pandemic. Beyond Blue also offer free web chat services, community forums and other resources which can be found on their website.
