Vale Adjunct Professor Jennifer David

ANU College of Law colleague Professor Jennifer David passed away on 9 October 2012.

Professor David Jennifer had a distinguished career in Australian academia and was an important influence upon the teaching and practice of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) at ANU and in Australia.

In 1989 she helped established the dispute resolution centre at Bond University and became the founding director of the centre and foundation chief executive of Lawyers Engaged in ADR.


In 1989 she was made the Foundation Freehill Hollingdale and Page professor of dispute resolution at the University of Technology and she became the founding director of the centre for dispute resolution at University of Technology, adjunct professor of law at UTS and Macarthur.


She was a foundation member of the Commonwealth Government's national ADR advisory council at the ANU and was a founding member of the Law Society of NSW dispute resolution committee.
