ANU Associate Professor a key contributor to new Evacuation Planning Handbook

Evacuation Planning Handbook

The Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience has recognised the valuable input of Associate Professor Michael Eburn in development of the recently published, revised Evacuation Planning Handbook.

The handbook is designed to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the emergency evacuation process, through principled planning and implementation. It provides guidance on planning for the nationally recognised five stages of an evacuation, emphasising the primacy of life and the importance of community recovery.

The new Evacuation Planning Handbook is freely available on the Knowledge Hub.
