A book of essays honouring Emeritus Professor Peter Cane FBA FAAL FASSA has recently been published.
Professor Cane spent 20 years at Corpus Christi College at the University of Oxford before moving to The Australian National University (ANU) in 1997, where he remained until 2016.

The Australian National University (ANU) has awarded honorary doctorates to three of its legal scholars for their exceptional contributions across law, academia and public service. Emerita Professor Robin Creyke AO FAAL, Emeritus Professor John McMillan AO FAAL and Emeritus Professor Dennis Pearce AO FAAL were conferred their honorary doctorates at a graduation ceremony on 7 February 2022 at Llewellyn Hall.

The Australian National University (ANU) College of Law has hosted the largest national round of the Jessup moot in recent history, with 18 law schools competing in the 2022 DLA Piper National Rounds from 8-12 February 2022.
This year marked the second that the competition was held online to enable law schools to compete regardless of border restrictions, with the students rising spectacularly to the challenges they faced in preparing for the moot in the midst of lockdown restrictions and surging COVID cases.

Robyn came to The Australian National University (ANU) with a background in environmental and political campaigning, and is leaving with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics under her belt.

Throughout his time at The Australian National University (ANU), Tiger Lin (BPolPhilEc /LLB (Hons)) was not only committed to his own studies, but to improving the experiences of other students.
From his involvement in the ANU Law Students’ Society and as an ANU College of Law Student Ambassador to co-launching an online tutoring and mentoring service for regional high school students, Tiger had a positive impact on his peers and was an active participant in the ANU community.

For almost 50 years, The Australian National University (ANU) School of Legal Practice (previously the ANU Legal Workshop) has been a pioneer in practical legal training (PLT) that has helped more than 10,000 graduates over the past 30 years realise their professional ambitions.
Its closure on 31 December 2021 marks the end of an era that began on 10 January 1972 when 18 students – 16 of whom were from ANU – enrolled in Australia’s inaugural PLT course.

Paul Dziatkowiec (MIntLaw ’05) has had a career that has taken him around the world in various roles since graduating in 2005. In this article, he reflects on his remarkable career in diplomacy and how his studies at the ANU College of Law served as the catalyst in his journey.
More than 15 years since leaving The Australian National University (ANU), I think back on my studies as the springboard that launched me into the captivating world of diplomacy and peace mediation.
