The fourth webinar of the Looking Back to the Future in the Law of the Sea: UNCLOS III and the LOSC at 40 series, presented by the Centre of International and Public Law (CIPL) and the Australia and New Zealand Society of International Law (ANZSIL).
This moderated panel discussion focuses on the institutions established under the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, including the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf, and the International Seabed Authority. Attention will also be given to United Nations processes since the entry into force of the Convention, including the United Nations General Assembly and the current negotiations in the Intergovernmental Conference on an international legally binding instrument on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction.
