A few gaps during her time at the ANU College of Law opened Melanie Poole's (BA, LLB (Hons) '11) eyes into social justice issues that she felt were not given as much focus on in the classroom. She started to encourage conversations about these issues around the College and over the years it grew into a bigger campaign and sparked some changes to the curriculum. After finishing up at ANU, Melanie landed a Fulbright scholarship to do her postgrad studies in New York. Her career journey has led her to work on various social justice causes and she's currently a Policy and Research Director for a national health organisation back here in Australia.
