Memory, fiction and archives: an unstable equilibrium

How can media represent the process of cultural and traumatic memory? In which way can they be "faithful" to reality? How can they determine the relationship between fiction and reality?

I will present some thoughts about these questions through the analysis of two movies that are both specifically focused on the category of "archive", that with "memory" has so much to do. They are both about the experience of the Chilean dictatorship of Pinochet: the tv series "Los archives del cardenal " and the movie "Habeas corpus".
