Securing maritime boundaries in the Pacific

Pacific leaders last year "acknowledged the urgency and importance of securing the region’s maritime boundaries as a key issue for the development and security of the region" (49th Pacific Islands Forum Communique).

Ms

Kelly's research focuses on human rights law, transitional justice, North Korea, and refugee law. Kelly is developing a victim-focused transitional justice design for future Korea to deal with victims of human rights violations in North Korea.

Dr

Annemarie is an experienced international, constitutional and human right lawyer. Within Australia, she has worked for the Office of International Law in the Attorney-General's Department. With the United Nations, she has worked with three peacekeeping missions in East Timor, the Security Council's Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate in New York, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva and Nepal, as well as with several International Commissions of Inquiry.
