Blind Justice Statue

Hosted by the School of Law and Justice at the University of Canberra (UC) and ACT Justice and Community Services, this symposium will generate discussion and debate about justice administration and access within society.

Themes include family violence initiatives that show evidence of success/failure, discrimination and potential pathways to (in)justice, and innovative justice.

Keynote speakers include Professor Tom Calma AO (Chancellor of UC and former Social Justice Commissioner), the Hon Michael Kirby AO CMG (former Justice of the High Court of Australia), Shane Rattenbury MLA (ACT Justice Minister), the Hon Richard Refshauge (former Justice of the ACT Supreme Court), Professor Rosalind Croucher (President of the Australian Human Rights Commission), and Dr Helen Watchirs (President of the ACT Human Rights Commission).

Practitioners may be able to claim sessions as CPD (one hour = one unit). See ACT CPD Guidelines.
