Professor Usui will give a general overview of administrative justice in Japan, with a particular emphasis on the system of administrative review tribunals in Japan. Professor Usui’s areas of research interests are administrative law, specialising in administrative review tribunals, problems arising from the privatisation of government administration, and the regulation of government expenditure. Professor Usui recently visited Ontario to follow up his interest in administrative review tribunals and is currently visiting Canberra and Sydney to observe Australian administrative review tribunal practice at Commonwealth, State and Territory levels
