Join a group of 20-25 CIPL members at a monthly brown bag (BYO) lunch to hear short presentations by specialists on recent developments in international law, followed by general discussion.

Ellen Hansen is Special Adviser reporting to the Assistant High Commissioner for Protection at UNHCR Headquarters in Geneva. She has close to 30 years’ experience in international law and policy, 18 of them in various positions with UNHCR.  Ellen joined UNHCR in 1998, after ten years in the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. 

Immediately prior to her current position, she served as Senior Regional Protection Officer in UNHCR’s Regional Office in Canberra covering Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and thirteen Pacific Island States.
