Save the date for ANU Open Day from 9am – 4pm, Saturday 29 August 2015
At ANU Open Day, you'll see, hear and discover why the ANU College of Law is ranked among the world’s top 20 law schools, and how you can join over 17 000 graduates who are using their ANU law degree to make a difference in Australia and around the world.
Whether your interest lies in international law, global business, social justice or environmental protection, ANU Open Day lets you speak with current students and staff to get a personal insight to studying at Australia’s national law school.
If you’re not sure how or when to apply to university, or what ATAR you’ll need for the Bachelor of Laws, Open Day is the best place to begin. You’ll be able to find out everything you need about the ANU College of Law – including details about our undergraduate (your first degree), masters and postgraduate and PhD programs – and explore what life’s like living and studying on campus.
What’s happening and when?
We’re holding information sessions, presentations and campus tours throughout the day – check our schedule for details of what’s happening, where and when.
We suggest starting Open Day by talking to our friendly staff at the Law stand in the Sports Hall. Once we know a little more about you, and what you want to study, we can provide you with a personal schedule, and help you plan your day.
If you’re considering the Bachelor of Laws (Honours), we’ll have information on bonus points for students in Year 12, international exchange options and the opportunities we offer to help give you hands-on experience in learning law.
And if you’re thinking about returning to study, we’ll have details about our most popular postgraduate programs, including our acclaimed Graduate Certificate of Law, which allows you to apply to a Master of Laws – even if you haven’t completed an undergraduate law degree – in just six months.
Don’t forget going to university is more than about just tutorials and textbooks, so make sure you spend some time visiting our other Colleges (especially if you’re planning to study a Flexible Double Degree) and finding out about the services and support available at ANU.
Making the most of ANU Open Day
As much as Open Day is about ANU, it’s also all about you.
If you’re in Year 11 or 12, speak with our admissions staff about application processes, entry requirements, take a campus tour or talk to current students – what are they studying, how have they found the course, what do they plan to do after graduation?
If you’re in Year 9 or 10, talk to our staff about career opportunities for law graduates, find out about pre-requisites or just explore the campus and get a sneak preview about studying at university.
If you’re from interstate (or a parent of a student who is!), be sure to check our residential accommodation and on-campus services – from health and wellbeing to sport, recreation and retail, you’ll find ANU offers a vibrant, supportive and friendly home away from home.
And if you get lost, or are not sure where to go or what to do next, just ask one of our friendly student ambassadors (they’re easy to spot – look for the purple ANU t-shirts and lanyards). They’ll be able to answer your questions and point you in the right direction.
