Part of the Public Law Weekend series

The 16th Annual Public law weekend is a great opportunity for academics and practitioners of public law, throughout the country and from overseas, to gather and meet one another and be stimulated by a great program.
On the weekend marking the 10th Anniversary since the events of September 11, 2001 we thought it opportune to reflect upon the state of Public law, 10 years on. In the program you will see a range of speakers from public policy and law backgrounds speak on important topics on the theme and the program also includes the annual update sessions in constitutional and administrative law.
The 14th Annual Geoffrey Sawer lecture (PDF, 105KB) will be held during the Public Law Weekend and will be delivered by the Chief Justice of the Canadian Supreme Court, Beverley McLachlin and the opening lecture of the PLW conference will be delivered by Professor Michael L’estrange, Director of the National Security College, ANU.
For public law practitioners, attendance at the program is relevant to your continuing legal education requirements.
We look forward to welcoming you to Canberra for this important public law conference.
