Roberts receives the JG Crawford Prize

Legal expert Professor Anthea Roberts has been awarded one of the 2018 JG Crawford Prizes – the University’s most prestigious PhD prize. She received the prize for her thesis ‘Is International Law International?’

Hannah Griffiths has been appointed a Senior Counsel in the Gilchrist Connell Sydney office. She moves from Colin Biggers & Paisley where she is an expert in insolency litigation and restructuring.

Steven Wulff has been appointed a Partner at Mills Oakley in the Melbourne office. He was previously a Partner at K&L Gates. He is experienced in IP protection and procurement, litigation and portfolio management matters.

Crowe appointed Acting Judge

Robert Crowe SC, BA '77, LLB '79

The Hon Justice Robert Crowe SC has been appointed an Acting Judge of the ACT Supreme Court for 12 months whilst Associate Justice Verity McWilliam takes maternity leave. He was previously a Senior Counsel and former President of the ACT Bar Association.

Wall takes out 2019 Golden Gavel Award

Maclaren Wall has won the 2019 ACT Golden Gavel competition as part of Law Week with a speech called ‘Who said being a lawyer was stressful? They said 'Burnout Profession' and I bought a Pontiac’.
