Bomball recognised for teaching excellence

Pauline Bomball has been recognised the University at the 2018 Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Education. She received a Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning for her teaching in Torts and Foundations of Australian Law.

The Hon Justice Stephen Gageler AC returned to Harvard Law School where he completed a Master of Laws in 1987 to meet with staff, students and speak on “Alternative Facts in the Courts”.

Kelsey Essex and Alexandra Partington have moved to Hall & Wilcox as part of the commercial dispute resolution practice based in Melbourne. This was part of a move by partner Kathryn Howard and two of their colleagues from Holding Redlich.

Matthew O’Connor has joined K&L Gates in Melbourne as Special Counsel. He is part of the Energy, Infrastructure and Resources team and has more than 15 years’ experience working in Australia and Asia including practising in Tokyo and Singapore.

Ben Chen has started as an academic at Sydney Law School teaching Private International Law A and Equity. He is a doctoral candidate at Columbia University School of Law with his research focusing on mental incapacity in private law.
