On Wednesday 27 March, the Dean of the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law, Professor Ryuji Yamamoto, Vice Dean, Professor Masami Okino and other delegation members, Professors Yoshiaki Morozumi and Shusaku Kitajima and Associate Professor Carol Lawson visited the ANU College of Law. The visit provided an opportunity to sign a new Student Exchange Agreement and discuss developing our existing collaborations.
A group of ANU College of Law students have been recognised at the 19th International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commercial Mediation Competition, the world’s largest student mediation competition.
ANU Law alumnus Edmund Bao will head to the Peace Palace at The Hague after receiving the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) Fellowship to work as an associate to the top international Court’s judges. Edmund will be supported by the ANU College of Law Frohlich Scholarship.

Join an amazing seminar and hear from Professor Jianlin Chen to learn about the legal tools used in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong to punish religious claims and practices considered false or fraudulent by the state. Professor Jianlin Chen will explain how such legal tools are used to sustain a hierarchy of religion and their importance to religious freedom (or the violation thereof).
