Biography Juliet Behrens joined the Faculty of Law in 1991, after completing a PhD in environmental law as a Lionel Murphy Foundation Bicentennial Scholar at the University of Tasmania.
Since joining the Faculty, her major area of interest has been family law. She has particular interests in feminist perspectives, legal responses to violence against women, and relocation and other parenting disputes.
Juliet is a member of the editorial board of the Australian Journal of Family Law. Juliet also has a keen interest in first year law teaching (including torts).

  I am a teacher and researcher working primarily in the area of family law. I am currently working on an ARC-funded Discovery Project 'The Experiences of Parents and Children after Family Court Decisions About Relocation' with Dr Bruce Smyth (ANU) and Dr Rae Kaspiew (Australian Institute of Family Studies)
