Gerry has been in the IT industry for more years than he cares to remember. So don't talk about 8 inch floppy disks or punch cards else you will never get away. From research at Imperial College in London into fracture mechanics, through to building commercial hydroponic system he has had a varied career. His interests outside of work include skiing, sailing and radio control aircraft but currently his renovation tasks occupy most of his time.
Gerry is currently on contract to implement a new network system to deploy workstation images and applications to the staff and students within the College but who knows where the system might end up. The system holds great promise to provide a smoother distribution and accountability service in this time of more complex systems.
Being born in NZ he has no choice but to follow the All Black but has been known to edge on the Brumbies. He has two boys just about to enter the workforce and has a chuckle when they ask "I have to get up at what time!!!".
