Biography Kevin Boreham has been teaching at the ANU College of Law since 2002. Kevin is convening International Law of Human Rights and lecturing in International Law in 2008-2009.

Kevin practised as a solicitor in private practice in Canberra from 1999-2001. He provided pro bono assistance at the Legal Advice Bureau, ACT Law Society, from 1999-2005.

Kevin’s first career was as an officer of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He served in Australia’s diplomatic missions in Colombo, Hanoi, Manila, Tehran and New York, where he was Australian Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 1987-9.

Kevin’s work in Canberra specialised in multilateral and regional issues. Among other appointments, Kevin was Assistant Secretary, International Organisations Branch from 1992-94.
Scholarly Interests International law, particularly human rights and the use of force, and Australian public law.
