Vera has worked at The Australian National University since 1995. In her current position, she is the Executive Assistant to the Associate Dean, Head of School and the College General Manager.

Prior to her current position, Vera was the Centre Administrator for the Australian Centre for Intellectual Property in Agriculture (ACIPA) where she provided administrative support for all matters relating to the Centre and general administration for ACIPA staff.
