| Biography |
Miriam Gani completed her LLB at the ANU in 1997, having had a previous career as a high school teacher of French and History. She joined the Law Faculty as a member of staff in 2000. Her main teaching responsibilities are in the area of criminal law and procedure and she is periodically involved with Foundations of Australian Law both as convenor and lecturer/seminar tutor. Since 2004, she has convened a new criminal law elective: Selected Topics in Criminal Law. The course addresses a number of exciting and emerging challenges for the criminal law including terrorism and cybercrime. Miriam is also the International Student Adviser for undergraduates in the Law Faculty and offers a course for international students in their first year of law studies called English in a Legal Context. |
