For admission to practice as a lawyer, you need to complete a program of practical training in addition to completing LLB, JD or equivalent studies. ANU Legal Workshop offers a specialised university-based legal training program, the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) as the final preparation for practice as a lawyer.

Completion of the GDLP allows for:

• Direct Admission now available in Queensland, (see Admissions link)

• direct admission to practice in NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD and NT
• reciprocal admission in other Australian states.
