A notebook computer, also called a laptop computer, is a battery-powered personal computer generally smaller than a briefcase that can easily be transported and conveniently used anywhere. Notebooks can be configured to functions as a stand-alone PC or as part of a network.

The Faculty currently has six notebooks – 3 x Dell Latitude D620 and 3 x IBM T40 - these may be borrowed by staff for use away from their office (usually where computer resources are not available).

Notebook bookings can be made by sending a GroupWise appointment to the Notebook 01\02…\06 (refer to the Policy on Notebook Computer Borrowing). If you are unsure of how to do this, watch this quick video on booking equipment.
