HR Procedures
Appointment of Staff
Hiring a Research or Administrative Assistant
This procedure outlines
the process for hiring a casual administrative or research assistant.
Information
for Casual Staff and Timesheet Submission Dates
Research Assistants are advised to make a photocopy of their fortnightly
timesheet. This makes it easier to verify any queries you may have regarding
discrepancies in pay or hours worked. Please ensure that your supervisor has
signed your timesheet and that we have received your timesheet by the cut off
date. Submission of timesheets after the cut off date may result in a delay
in your pay.

For all other appointments (eg: Fixed Term or Standard appointments)

Once you have entered your leave, print out the page and forward via your supervisor

**NEW ** Apply for annual
leave (Academic staff only)
Recently there has been an alteration
to the internal procedure for academic staff taking administrative leave. Those
academic staff who wish to take annual leave will now be required to fill out
an Application
for Leave form prior to taking leave. Please note that this procedure is
only applicable for annual leave. Any academic staff taking sick leave etc,
will still enter their leave on HORUS.
