Eligibility
In
2011, both staff and students from any program in the ANU College
of Law are invited to nominate any teacher in the College for an Excellence in Education Award. All academic staff
at the College are eligible for nomination: full-time or fractional;
continuing or contract. Nominations can be made for any aspect of
teaching.

Nominators
The
Selection Committee will rely heavily on the information you provide
in your nomination. Please provide as many concrete details and
stories as possible to illustrate how your nominee is outstanding
in education.

Award
Process
Nominations:
Staff can be nominated by students or colleagues. Nominations open
on the 26th September and close on the 31st October.

Nominees:
Nominated staff will be notified of their nomination and will be
allowed to withdraw from consideration, if they so choose. Nominees
will not be expected or allowed to submit materials in support of
their nomination.
Deliberation:
Nominations will be considered by a selection committee appointed
by the Associate Dean. To assist in considering nominations, the Committee may access nominee's course sites and/or teaching evaluations. Accessed information will be treated confidentially. The Selection Committee will then make recommendations
for awards to the College Education Committee and awards will be
approved by the Dean of the College.
Awards: Successful nominees will receive an award
and $1,000 prize.
