| Why
should I nominate someone?
There
are many reasons why you might decide to nominate someone. Nominating
someone for an Excellence in Education Award allows you to:
- Say 'thank you'
to someone who inspired, guided, motivated, or facilitated your learning
- Inspire more
excellent teaching at the ANU College of Law
- Share with the
world about how excellent your nominee really is
How
important is my nomination form?
VERY IMPORTANT.
The Selection Committee will rely heavily on the information you write
in your nomination. Give us as many concrete details as possible.
Are
people who won awards last year eligible again?
Yes.
What
kind of information should I write in my nomination form?
Give us as
many stories and concrete details as possible to illustrate how your
nominee is outstanding. You may consider any or all of the ideas
for nominators .
Do my answers
on the nomination form have to fit within certain word limits?
No. We have provided
suggested word length only to give you an idea of how much information
we think might ordinarily be included. You may write
as much or as little as you want.
How
do I nominate my lecturer/supervisor/colleague for a College Education
Award?
The online
nomination form is available here.
Do
I need to write a letter of support with my nomination?
No formal "letter"
is required. Nominators just need to complete the nomination form.
Can
I remain anonymous?
Yes, in the nomination
form you have the option to remain anonymous or not. If you select yes,
only the administrator will have access to your details.
Can
I self-nominate?
No.
Can
I submit multiple nominations?
Yes, you can submit
as many nominations as you like. You will need to submit a separate
nomination form for each nominee.
I
also wish to nominate my lecturer/supervisor/colleague for the Vice-Chancellor’s
Education Awards. Is this a separate process?
Yes. For more
