by plane at Canberra airport, approximate travel times to the venues are:

For those arriving
by interstate bus, the Jolimont Centre is conveniently located in the
city centre:
- Jolimont Centre to ANU – 1.7kms, 5 minutes taxi ride, approx $8 (Monday – Friday, 6am – 9pm)
- Jolimont Centre to UC – 7.1kms, 11 minutes taxi ride, approx $18 (Monday – Friday, 6am – 9pm)
Arriving
in Canberra by train
- Train station to ANU – 7kms, 10 minutes taxi ride, approx $18 (Monday – Friday, 6am – 9pm)
- Train station to UC – 15.6kms, 18 minutes taxi ride, approx $34 (Monday – Friday, 6am – 9pm)
Driving
to Canberra
For those driving, please confirm parking arrangements with your accommodation.
- Free parking is available at the University of Canberra.
- Visitors are welcome to use the time limited areas (30 minute and 1 hour) when available. Limited 3-hour Pay and Display parking is available at the ANU, see the campus map for more detail. Limited
ACT Government daily Pay and Display parking is also located on the University’s
eastern boundary between the ANU and Canberra City. Please observe all parking restrictions as all areas are subject to patrols and possible fines.
From
ANU - University of Canberra return
Buses will be available to transport ALAA-ALANZ participants from ANU
to the University of Canberra and return on the first two days of the
conference (30 November – 1 December).

Buses. Action buses run to ANU and UC, the best bus route is route 3, it takes you from the city to ANU and to UC. This departs every 20-30 minutes on weekdays. Route 3 Timetable information here.
