Registration rates

Please note: Participants may register for either the ALAA-ALANZ conference or the ALS conference or both. If you wish to register for both conferences you must pay the separate fees. Participants who register for either the ALAA or ALS conference are automatically registered for the Joint day 'Language and the Law' on the evening of Thursday 1 December and all day 2 December.

Concession = full-time students and non-waged persons.

Non members are encouraged to become members of ALAA or ALANZ to take advantage of the discounted conference registration rates offered to members. Please go to the ALAA or ALANZ websites for membership information.

Speakers are reminded that they need to be members of ALS, and non-members are also enouraged to become members. Membership rates are as follows: Ordinary - $60, Concession - $30, Joint (2 people at same address) -$70, and may be paid at the conference, or via the ALS website.

Visas to enter Australia
Please note that conference organisers are not authorised to advise you on any visa matter other than to say that, if you are not an Australian citizen or resident, you will need to obtain a visa to enter Australia. Obtaining a visa is the responsibility of the person travelling, ie your own personal responsibility. We will be pleased to provide you with a letter of invitation if you write to us requesting one. You should present this letter when lodging your visa application at the overseas Australian visa office nearest to your current place of residence. As an added safeguard, it is strongly recommended that you carry this letter of invitation with you on your trip to Australia. Cancellation policy
A substitute delegate is welcome if you are unable to attend (please just let us know). An administration fee of $50 may be
charged for cancellations received in writing before 7 November 2011. No refunds will be made after 7 November 2011.
