The
Centre for Climate Law and Policy (CCLP)
is part of the ANU College of Law. It was established
in 2007 with the objective of providing a focal point
for law and policy research related to climate change.
The CCLP also runs courses in climate law and provides
consulting services. |
FOUNDING
SPONSOR

Baker
& McKenzie is the global leader in the development
of law and policy to meet the challenges in adapting
to climate change. We were the first law firm to establish
a climate change practice, more than 12 years ago.
Our practice spans the breadth of the globe. We advise
national governments, international organisations
and corporations in developing solutions to climate
change.
We advise on the development of carbon-trading markets,
the design of emissions reduction and anti-deforestation
schemes, on renewable energy projects, and building
biodiversity and water registers to protect threatened
habitats. We help ensure that approaches to meeting
climate change are rigorous and market based, to ensure
participation of all stakeholders. You can read more
at Baker
& McKenzie Australian Environmental Markets Practice.
We
also work with market leaders on research projects
to help inform developments in climate change and
renewable resources, and regularly publish alerts
on legal changes affecting the sector. You can read
more at Baker
& McKenzie Environmental Markets resources.
We've also developed public resources such as the
CDMRulebook.org,
JIRulebook.org
and the Emissions
Trading and New Energy Law Guide.
