HARTNELL COLLOQUIUM: Avoiding Conflict of Interest in Commercial Settings
The Centre for Commercial Law hosted the second Hartnell Colloquium on 6 July 2007. The one day event on Avoiding Conflict of Interest in Commercial Settings was attended by 40 people. Speakers included The Hon Justice Keith Mason AC, President of the New South Wales Court of Appeal; Richard St John, CAMAC and special Counsel to Johnson Winter and Slattery; David Tennant, CARE Inc; and Dr Pamela Hanrahan from the University of Melbourne.The Centre would like to thank Tony Hartnell for his generous donation to make this event possible.

HARTNELL COLLOQUIUM: Avoiding Conflict of Interest in Commercial Settings
The Centre for Commercial Law hosted a very successful one-day Colloquium on corporate accountability and public access to corporate information on 7 July. The Hon Justice Nevell Owen, HIH Royal Comissioner and judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia was the keynote speaker. Other speakers included Mr Jeremy Kriewaldt (Atanaskovic Hartnell), Mr Marcus Priest (Australian Financial Review), Professor Ian Ramsay (University of Melbourne) and Mr Malcolm Rodgers (ASIC). Professor Paul Redmond (UNSW) chaired the concluding session of the day.The event was made possible by the generous donation of Tony Hartnell from Atanaskovic Hartnell.
