ANJeL Member Prof. Don Rothwell and ANJeL Associate Director Dr. Hitoshi Nasu co-authored an article published in The Australian on 6 April 2009 on North Korea’s launch of a rocket in early April and the impact on security issues in North Asia.

Prof. Don Rothwell and Dr. Hitoshi Nasu co-wrote an op-ed piece published in March 2009 by the University of Pittsburgh on Japan's commitment to the Combined Task Force anti-piracy operations in the Indian Ocean.

ANJeL Associate, Professor Yasuhiro Okuda of Chuo University was interviewed by the Japan Times on 5 November 2008 on proposed changes to Japan’s Nationality Act designed to allow children born out of wedlock to Japanese men and foreign women to obtain Japanese nationality.
