Law Alumni Cocktail Function 2008
The ANU College of Law held a cocktail reception on 10 October 2008 to celebrate the achievements of distinguished alumni, Judge Hilary Penfold QC, Judge Richard Refshauge SC and Stephen Gageler SC. Hilary Penfold and Richard Refshauge were both appointed judges to the ACT Supreme Court in February 2008, and Stephen Gageler was appointed Solicitor-General of Australia in May 2008. More than sixty alumni who graduated between 1970 and 2007 attended the event held at the National Library of Australia.

Alumni Dinner 2006

A very successful Alumni Dinner was held on 25 August at Old Parliament House, Canberra. The dinner was held to celebrate the ongoing contribution of the Law School's Emeriti Professors - Jim Davis, Don Greig, David Hambly, Dennis Pearce, Jack Richardson and Leslie Zines; and other colleagues who are still connected to the Law School through research and teaching - Tom Campbell, Geoffrey Lindell, Nick Seddon, John Seymour, Charles Rowland, Peter Waight and others. Almost 170 graduates from between the years of 1966 and 2005 attended the event. Guest speaker was Sir Anthony Mason, Distinguished Visiting Fellow of the Law School.

Alumni Dinner 2004

In 2004, in a new approach to the ANU Law alumni dinner, alumni were specially invited to the ALSC Conference Dinner with outstanding guest speaker, Aboriginal activist Noel Pearson. The dinner was held in the Great Hall at University House on 23 September. Pre-dinner entertainment was provided by a Jazz Trio.
