This
year, 2010, marks the 50th anniversary of what is now
the ANU College of Law. The Australian National University
was established in 1946 as a research institution, but
the Faculties, as they then were - including the Faculty
of Law - were added in 1960.
We will be celebrating our 50th anniversary in a variety
of ways, including an Alumni Dinner on Thursday
30 September 2010 (venue TBC)and a pictorial
history of the law school from 1960 to 2010.
Perhaps the single most important aspect of that rich
50 year history is the contribution that you, our distinguished
alumni, have made, both during your time as our students,
when you supplied our very raison d?être, and subsequently
throughout your careers. We hope you can join us to celebrate
our 50th anniversary.
Information about upcoming events will be sent to you
soon. Please register or update
your contact details if you have not been in touch
with us before.
The Law School values its links with
Alumni, and the wider Law School Community. We want to encourage
genuine interaction between the University and its graduates,
former students and staff. Alumni functions such as dinners,
conferences, reunions and other social gatherings are excellent
opportunities to renew your ties with the Law School and
catch up with old acquaintances. Please send us your new
contact details when you relocate so that we can keep
in touch and send you the latest
news about activities at the Law School.
