The Australian Centre for Intellectual Property in Agriculture

The Australian Centre for Intellectual Property in Agriculture (ACIPA) was established in 2001 as a national research, policy development and training facility. ACIPA operates as a single entity jointly based at the Australian National University in Canberra and The University of Queensland and Griffith Universities in Brisbane.

While the Centre's activities cover the whole of intellectual property, ACIPA maintains a particular focus on intellectual property law as it relates to agriculture and biotechnology.

ACIPA currently employs seven full-time academic staff, two full-time administrators and draws upon the expertise of five adjunct research fellows.
