Be part of the Australian National
University's Summer/Winter
in Geneva 2012 program and experience
international law first hand.
Geneva is home to the headquarters special agencies of the United Nations
and serves as the organizations European headquarters.
It also hosts a very large number of non-government
organizations. Students will witness the workings
of these important institutions in the heart of Europe
during a three week intensive international organisations
course. Classes are presented by experts in the international
law area from specialised agencies and some are held
at the Institut Universitaire des Hautes Etudes Internationales,
right next to the Headquarters of the WTO.
All classes and visits are conducted in English and
a knowledge of French is not required.
Students will arrive in Geneva
by Saturday 21 January 2012 and the course will run
until Friday 10 February 2012 (with checkout from
the hotel on Saturday 11 February 2012).
Course activities will as far as possible be arranged
over 4-day periods, enabling participants to take
advantage of extended weekends to explore Geneva and
beyond. As one of the most central locations in Europe,
Geneva has easy access to France, Italy and world-renowned
Alpine areas and ski fields.
