Student Representatives
For 2009, the two student representives for the LLM Prgram Committee
are Kerry Fitzgerald and Lucia Cipullo.
As student representatives, Kerry & Lucia attend the LLM
Program Committee meeting held approximately 3 times a semester.

Kerry Fitzgerald

Kerry Fitzgerald is Director of the OHS Regulations Development
at Safe Work Australia. She has worked in injury prevention in
government and non government organisations for the past 18 years.
She was awarded a Masters by Research in criminology in 2003 for
her thesis on deterrence and deviance in recidivist drink drivers.
She was awarded the University of Canberra Masters of Corporate
Law prize in 1999 and a Churchill Fellowship in 2002. This Fellowship
involved travel to several overseas countries to examine international
responses to recidivist drink driving. Kerry is Past President
of the Australasian College of Road Safety, a Trustee of the NRMA
ACT Road Safety Trust and Chair of the Advisory Panel to the ACT
Chair of Road Trauma and Emergency Medicine. Kerry is enrolled
in the Masters of Government and Commercial Law program and is
interested in investigating coroners’ recommendations to
incorporate into her work in national model OHS regulations.
Lucia Cipullo

Lucia Cipullo graduated from the ANU in July 2008 with an Arts
Degree in International Relations and Political Science, and has
recently returned from travelling overseas for a number of months.
Lucia is enrolled in the Masters in International Law at the ANU.
Lucia worked as the Assistant Sponsorship Officer at the ANU Student
and Academic Services for 6 months last year whilst completing
her degree, and has also undertaken two separate Parliamentary
Internships. Lucia has a genuine interest in the needs of students
and the importanceof having those needs and opinions expressed,
particularly with regard to the direction of the program. Lucia
has a lot of experience with student representation, particularly
during her high school years where she was elected student representative
three years in a row and elected House Captain in her final year.
