Please note that this is a draft timetable and although changes will be kept
to a minimum please refer back to this page regularly for updated information.
Some courses are currently listed on our timetable but are showing as not being
offered in 2009 on Study@. The courses on the timetable are correct, study@
will be updated prior to students being able to enrol through ISIS in their
2009 courses (which will be early December).

Class attendance
All classes, except fully on-line courses have 100% attendance requirements.
Mixed mode courses (with face-to-face teaching and an on-line component) also
require 100% attendance at classes. Click

Census Dates
Each course has it's own census date. If you wish to withdraw from a course
without Academic or Financial penalty (ie the course will not appear on your
transcript and you will not have to pay for the course), you will need to withdraw
prior to the course census date. See the Fees & Dates page for a course
on Study@ ANU for the census date.
Timetable Notes:
* This timetable may vary but changes will be kept to a minimum - refer to date
at top of first page for latest version
* Where enrolments in a course are less than 10, that course may not proceed
* Fundamenals of Environmental Law and Fundamentals of Government and Commercial
Law are compulsory for non-lawyers only (those with an Australian law degree
do not need to undertake these courses)
* Principles of International Law is compulsory for both non-lawyers and lawyers
(unless a waiver has been granted)
* All students from a non-law background MUST complete LAWS8153 (Introduction
to Legal Reasoning and Research) as their first course if enrolled in the Government
& Commercial Law stream
* Courses run all day unless otherwise stated
* E-mails are sent to students' university
email accounts prior to courses starting, setting out exact times
* Melb - These courses are held at ANU House, Melbourne (Level 11, 52 Collins
St). ANU students who wish to enrol require a permission code which can be obtained
from pgadmin.law@anu.edu.au
* if you do not have an enrolment in the first half of the year (Summer/Semester
1/Autumn) or in the second half of the year (Winter/Semester 2/Spring) you will
need to apply for a Leave
of Absence for that 6 month period.

* For courses offered during the non-standard Summer, Autumn, Winter or Spring
sessions, make sure you are enrolled by the start date of these courses. note
WebCT courses may start before the intensive sessions
* All re-enrolling students are required to re-enrol for 2009 courses
by 30 Jan 2009. Late fees apply after this date.
* Please note that courses may not release results in time for graduation in
the next available ceremony.
