Will I qualify as a full time student for Centrelink when enrolled in the GDLP?

Centrelink requires that you be enrolled in 18 units to qualify as a full time student.

If you are enrolled in the Professional Practice Core then you will qualify as a full time student.

Whether or not you will continue to qualify will depend on the elective coursework load you take on.

 

At what time of year can I begin the GDLP?

The GDLP program begins with the Becoming a Practitioner intensive  which runs throughout the year in several locations. For details of when and where the intensive will be run, and the timing of other courses please see our Course Dates

 

How much will the program cost?

The cost of the program will depend on the length of your Legal Practice Experience  which dictates the number of electives you are required to complete. For details of program costs please see our Fees

 

As an ANU LLB student what courses can I undertake as concurrent enrolment?

You will be eligible to complete the Becoming a Practitoner intensive  and depending on your course load you may be eligible to begin some elective courses

You can also begin your Legal Practice Experience  placement.

You will not be able to enrol in the Professional Practice Core as a concurrent student.

How long does it take to complete the GDLP?

The GDLP can be completed in six months or over a period of three years.

 

Will I be able to withdraw from courses after they have begun without penalty?

You are able to withdraw from courses without academic or financial penalty until the census date as indicated on our Program Dates
