Welcome to the Social Justice LSS for 2008. Although the Social Justice portfolio is relatively new, I think we have a very exciting year ahead of us! We have a great team that will be helping you to deal with any equity issues arising within the ANU Law School and the ANU more generally. We are also responsible for representing the social justice voice of ANU law students and LSS members and holding events to raise awareness of social justice issues. You can look forward to some interesting forums early on in the year with speakers from NGOs and the government who will inspire and inform you about their work and alternative career options. I am also hoping to set up a Human Rights Law internship so that anyone interested in a career in development can gain some practical experience before entering into the sector.
